Simone is a simulation tool which was designed during my internship as an engineer at BT, Adastral Park in Ipswich (UK) during summer 1999. There is no more development on this application

This simulation tool was used in the analysis of performance deterioration phenomena in data networks. A lot of parameters can be changed to observe their impact on the behaviour of a network. The network reaction can be observed through many graphical or statistical representations.

This allowed to demonstrate the catastrophic nature of a collapse from smooth traffic into congestion and study mechanisms for avoiding this collapse.
